BBCL Discovery Questionnaire

Kiran, this isn't just a form. Think of it as the first real conversation between you and the team that's going to help you launch the Bharat Blind Cricket League. We don't know anything yet, and that's okay. The more openly you answer, the better we can plan, build, and execute everything from day one. Set aside about 30 minutes, answer honestly, and don't worry about saying the wrong thing. There are no wrong answers here.

A. The League & Its Vision

Before we plan anything, we need to understand what this league is really about. Not just cricket, but what it means to the people behind it.

1. In your own words, what is the Bharat Blind Cricket League?

Not the official description. Tell us what it means to you and to Samarthanam.

2. Why is this league being launched right now?

Was there a specific moment or reason that made this the right time? What triggered it?

3. What do you want people to feel when they hear about this league for the first time?

Not what you want them to think. What you want them to feel. Proud, inspired, curious, something else?

4. Who is this league ultimately for?

The players? The blind community? Cricket fans? The general public? All of them? Be specific about who matters most.

5. If the BBCL becomes everything you hope it to be, what does that look like five years from now?

Dream a little. How big, how known, how impactful?

B. The Teams

We don't know anything about the teams yet, and that's fine. Help us understand what exists, what's planned, and what still needs to be figured out.

1. How many teams will be playing in the inaugural season?

Give us the confirmed number. If it's still being decided, tell us the range you're working with.

2. Do the teams have names yet?

If yes, list them all. If no, tell us where you are in that process.

3. Are the teams owned by franchises or is Samarthanam running all of them?

This changes everything about how we work. We need to know if there are separate owners we'll need to deal with or if it's all centrally managed.

D

4. Are the teams city-based, state-based, or something else?

For example, does each team represent a city like Bengaluru or Mumbai, or is it by region or something different entirely?

5. Do the teams have logos, colours, or any visual identity already?

Even rough ideas count. If yes, please describe what exists. If no, is that something you'd want us to create?

6. Are there any star players or known names already attached to the teams?

Names we can build content around, players who already have a following or a story worth telling.

C. Brand & Identity

This is a brand being born from scratch. We need to understand what it should look, sound, and feel like before we create anything.

1. Does the BBCL have an official logo or any branding yet?

Even a draft, a concept, or a colour palette that someone has already decided on. Anything that exists needs to be on the table before we start.

2. What three words would you want people to use when they describe this league?

Think about character, not cricket. Words like powerful, emotional, fearless, joyful, unstoppable. What do you want this league to feel like?

3. If the BBCL were a person, how would you describe them?

Their age, their energy, how they walk into a room. Are they a quiet warrior or a loud champion?

4. Are there any sports leagues or tournaments anywhere in the world whose look and feel you admire?

Not to copy, just to give us a reference point. Could be IPL, the Ashes, NBA, anything that feels like the right kind of energy.

5. What should the BBCL never look or sound like?

Think about what would embarrass you or feel completely wrong. Generic, preachy, charity-like, too corporate, too casual. What does the wrong version of this brand look like?

6. Is there anything about blind cricket that you feel is misunderstood or underrepresented that the brand should correct?

A lot of people don't know this sport exists. What's the one thing you want them to know that nobody is telling them?

D. Platforms & Digital Presence

We need to know what already exists online and what needs to be built from scratch.

1. Does BBCL have any social media accounts already?

If yes, list the platform and the handle. If no, that's perfectly fine, we'll set everything up.

2. Which platforms do you want the BBCL to be active on?

Select all that apply.

3. Does Samarthanam already have social media pages that should be connected to or separate from BBCL?

We need to know if BBCL runs on its own handles or sits under the Samarthanam umbrella.

C

4. Should each team also have its own social media pages?

Or will all team content go on the BBCL main page? This affects how much we need to manage.
A
B
C

5. Does the BBCL have a website?

If yes, share the link. If no, is a website something you'd want us to build or is that out of scope for now?

E. Content & Coverage

This is where we figure out what we'll actually be making. The more specific you are, the more accurate our plan and pricing will be.

1. When does the league start and how long does the season run?

Give us a start date or a rough window. Also tell us how many weeks or months the full season spans.

2. How many matches will be played in total across the season?

Include all stages, group stage, knockouts, finals, everything.

3. How many matches will be played per week?

This tells us how intense the content calendar will be during the season.

4. What kind of content do you want us to create?

Select all that apply. We can do all of it, just want to understand what you're expecting.

5. Do you want us to manage and post content or just create it and hand it over to you?

This is a big one. Managing means we handle the accounts, scheduling, captions, hashtags, and posting. Creating only means we make the content and you handle the rest.

6. Do you want us to shoot content on the ground during matches?

This means our videographers and photographers will be physically present at the venues. Tell us yes, no, or if you're not sure yet.
A
B
C

7. Is there a pre-season phase before the matches begin where content needs to go out?

Things like league announcements, team reveals, player introductions, jersey launches. How early before the first match do you want to start building buzz?

F. On-Ground & Production Access

If we're going to produce quality content from the matches, we need to know what we're working with on the ground.

1. Where will the matches be held?

City, venue name, or even just the region if the exact venue isn't confirmed yet. If matches are in multiple cities, list them all.

2. Will there be an official broadcaster or streaming partner for the matches?

If yes, tell us who. If no, will the matches be streamed at all and by whom?

3. Will our team get full access to players, coaches, and the dressing room for content?

Access to people makes or breaks content quality. Tell us what we can and cannot access.
A
B
C
D

4. Will there be any events outside of matches that we should be covering?

Like press conferences, jersey launches, player auctions, fan events, opening ceremonies. List anything you have in mind.

5. Will you be providing any existing footage or photos to us, or do we start from zero?

Things like practice session recordings, old match footage, player interviews, or photos from previous Samarthanam events that could be used.

G. Sponsors & Partners

Sponsors change what we can and can't do with content. We need to know who's involved before we start planning anything.

1. Does the BBCL have any sponsors or partners confirmed already?

If yes, list them and tell us what their involvement looks like. If no, is that process still ongoing?

2. Will sponsors require dedicated content or posts as part of their deal?

For example, branded videos, logo placements, specific mentions in captions. Tell us what's been promised to them.

3. Are there any restrictions that sponsors have placed on how the brand is presented?

Things like brand guidelines, dos and don'ts, or approval processes specific to a sponsor.

H. Audience & Outreach

We need to know who we're talking to so the content actually connects with the right people.

1. Who is the main audience you want to reach through social media?

Paint a picture. Age, where they live, what they care about. Is it cricket fans, the disability community, the general sports audience, or all of them?

2. Are there specific cities or states in India where you want the league to build the most following?

Where are the teams from? Where does Samarthanam have the most reach already?

3. Do you want to run paid ads on social media to grow reach?

This is separate from organic content. Paid ads can massively boost the launch but need a separate budget. Tell us where you stand on this.
A
B
C

4. Is there a PR or media outreach plan alongside the social media work?

Are you working with any newspapers, TV channels, or cricket media to cover the league? If yes, do you need us to coordinate content with them?

I. Stakeholders & Approvals

The faster approvals happen, the better the content. Help us understand who's in the loop so we can plan around it.

1. Who is the main point of contact on your end for this project?

Name and role. This is the person we'll be speaking to day to day.

2. Who has the final say on approvals for content before it goes live?

Name and role. Sometimes this is the same person, sometimes it's not.

3. Is there anyone else who needs to approve content before it's posted?

Think about whether franchise owners, sponsors, or senior leadership at Samarthanam also need to sign off on things.

4. How quickly can your team typically give feedback once we share content?

During a live season, content moves fast. We need to know how tight the turnaround needs to be on your end.

5. What is your preferred way to communicate with us day to day?

Pick one.

J. Budget & Timelines

Last section. We're not asking this to judge you. We're asking because it helps us build a plan that actually fits your situation rather than one that looks good but doesn't work in the real world.

1. Do you have a budget in mind for the digital and social media work?

Even a rough range helps. If you'd rather discuss this in a call, just say so and we'll take it from there.
A
B
C
D
E

2. Is the budget separate for pre-season and during the season, or is it one combined number?

Pre-season is the launch phase before matches begin. During season is match day content, real-time updates, and everything live. These are different workloads.
A
B
C

3. When do you need everything to be ready to launch?

Give us a date or a rough window. The launch of accounts, brand, first post, everything.

4. Are there any hard deadlines we must know about right now?

Dates that cannot move. A board meeting, a sponsor event, a press announcement, the first match. Anything that has a fixed date.

5. Is there anything else you want us to know before we put together a plan for you?

Anything we haven't asked. Worries, hopes, things that went wrong with agencies before, things you absolutely want or don't want. This is your space.
